Coach Bob Murphy Track is a 6-lane all-weather track, with a pole vault and jumping pit as well designated throwing areas nearby.

The track is named for former head coach Bob Murphy, who led the Green Knights to unprecedented early success in both cross country and track and field. Under Murphy's watch, SJR dominated the track scene in the late 60s through the mid-70s. In fact, the 1969 team was named the "Team of the Century" by The Record in 2000.

Murphy was a member of the SJR Hall of Fame Class of 2015 in recognition for his dedication to the growth and spirit of the young men he coached.
