#10 SJR tied #20 Pope John, 2-2, on Wednesday night at Skylands Ice World.

Garrett Kata opened the scoring late in the first, with an unassisted tally. It marked his first career goal as a Green Knight.

Pope John put in two in the second to take a 2-1 lead into the 3rd period before Dylan Stiles took a wicked shot from the point to tie the game up with 13 minutes left. The play developed behind the goal line with assists to Logan Hughes (the first of his career) and Thomas Hilliard.

Nick Wronski made 21 saves on 23 shots.

The Green Knights are now 1-1-1 on the season, and head to the Ice Vault in Wayne on Sunday for a game against #5 Don Bosco.
