In a hard-fought battle in which the shots were 40-34 Crusaders, the Green Knights fell to Bergen Catholic on January 9. 

SJR took a 1-0 lead in the first period at TJ Bayer scored shorthanded. But the Crusaders answered back late in the stanza on the power play.

That would be a theme throughout the night as Bergen Catholic scored five special teams markers en route to a 7-2 win.

Tha play was fairly even 5-on-5, but the potent power play of BC cost the Green Knights.

Nick Wronski made 33 saves and Dylan Stiles scored an unassisted goal in the third period.
