On Tuesday, January 4, the #10 ranked Green Knights have a chance to bounce back quickly against St. Peter's Prep. SJR fell to St. Joseph (Metuchen) by a 1-0 score on Monday, despite outshooting the Falcons, 26-17.

The short turnaround should help the team get back on track after moving up a spot in the state poll after wins against #12 Livingston and #19 Ramapo last week.

In February 2021, SJR defeated St. Peter's in the Gordon Cup playoffs, 5-2 to end the Marauders season. SPP had taken the regular season match-up by a 4-2 count.

Tonight's game marks the second of four in a seven day span this week as the Green Knights host #5 Gloucester Catholic and #4 Bergen Catholic on Thursday and Sunday, respectively.
