It came down to a nail biter between SJR and Delbarton on Saturday, October 29th 2022 at Dinallo Stadium.

After being tied 21-21 at the end of regulation, the game went to overtime. It took only one drive for the Green Knights to tally a touchdown from Junior Yasin Willis which put SJR ahead 28-21.

On ensuing OT drive Delbarton also found the end zone, on 4th and goal, and cut the SJR lead to 28-27. The Green Wave decided to go for the 2-point conversion and the win.
With the game on the line, sophomore Jahmir Joseph swatted down a pass intended for Delbartons wide receiver that ended the game for a 28-27 win for the Green Knights.

Sophomore Joey Gaston tallied 105 passing yards while Sophomore Mehki Rossignol led SJR with 71 receiving yards. Senior Luke Tucci rushed for an impressive 194 yards along with 2 touchdowns.

Saint Joes ended their regular season with a 5-4 record and now will prepare take on Paul VI at home this Saturday and the first round of the NJSIAA Group-A playoffs.
