SJR got back in the win column with their 5th win of the season. SJR defeated Clifton 59-39 on Monday afternoon.
Through the first two quarters, both teams were very evenly matched. The Green Knights held a 1 point advantage after two quarters, 24-23. The third quarter proved to be yet another physical, offensive battle. Heading into the final 8 minutes, the Green Knights led 39-35. In the final quarter, it was complete domination from SJR on both ends of the court. Senior Tom Diomedi and junior Julian Paradise combined offensively to lead the Green Knights to a 20 point 4th quarter. On the other end of the court, SJR played lockdown defense and held the Mustangs to just 4 points in the final period.
Julian Paradise led the scoring with 18 points, while Tom Diomedi and freshman Nick Tait dropped 15 and 14 respectively. Senior Jeremiah Noble and junior Hunter Vero also contributed in the scoring with 7 and 5 points.
After winning the final home game of the season, Coach Dan Davis will lead his team into Ramsey to take on rivals Don Bosco Prep on Thursday night in the final game of the 2025-26 regular season.
