St. Joseph Regional High School is proud to announce the appointment of Marquis A. Webb as Head Basketball Coach.
Coach Webb brings more than 16 years of coaching experience at the high school, collegiate, and grassroots levels, with a consistent record of building successful and disciplined programs. Most recently, he served as Head Coach at Morristown Beard School, where he guided the team to a 21–5 record and a Prep B Championship. He was also named the 2024 Morris County Coach of the Year.
Before his time at Morristown Beard, Webb led Eastside High School in Paterson, NJ, to a 74–24 record, including the 2022–23 NJSIAA Group 4 State Championship. Under his leadership, the program developed multiple collegiate-level players while maintaining strong academic standards.
Mr. Webb's experience extends to the collegiate level, where he held coaching roles at Wagner College and George Mason University. His work focused on player development, recruiting, academic support, and program operations.
A former standout player at Rutgers University, Mr. Webb was a four-year letterman, team captain, and 1,000-point scorer. He went on to play professionally before transitioning into coaching.
"Coach Webb brings a clear vision for sustained success," said Patrick Kivlehan '08, Athletic Director. "His commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the court aligns with the mission and values of St. Joseph Regional."
At St. Joseph Regional, Mr. Webb will lead a program focused on player development, academic accountability, and strong community connections.
"We look forward to welcoming Coach Webb to the St. Joseph community," said President Reginald Sainte-Rose '92. "Together we will continue to build a program that reflects the school's tradition, values, and commitment to excellence."
