It was a very special win for the Green Knights as it was head coach Mark Cieslak's 100th win as head coach of the program. Will Tallant '21 was given the start going 3.0 complete innings, only surrendering 1 run, striking out 1 and walking 0. Jimmy Romano '21 lead the offense going 3-4, including a 3-run homerun, and notching 4 RBIs. Romano also closed the game out on the mound. This marked Romano's first appearance back on the mound after he received Tommy John Surgery earlier last year. The Green Knights' next games are going to be true tests for this team. SJR will play Bergen Catholic on Monday (5/17), their first game of the Bergen County Tournament on Tuesday (5/18), and Bergen Catholic again on Wednesday (5/19).
