The Green Knights trounced the Green Wave by a 17-2 count to win the NJSIAA Non-Public A North championship. With the victory, SJR moves on to face St. Augustine for the state championship.

Jude Zern got the win for SJR, capping a career in which he never lost on the mound.

After falling behind 1-0 in the top of the first, the home team struck early and often. Senior Ellis Garcia led off the bottom of the first with a home run to tie the score and SJR never looked back.

The Green Knights scored four in the first, five in the second, three in the third and five more in the fourth to ensure an early ending after the top of the fifth inning.

Senior Albert Serrano led the way with four hits, four runs and five RBI.
