The SJR basketball team went on the road Tuesday night and put together their signature win of the season, knocking off Don Bosco Prep 56-51.

The Ironmen came into the game ranked 4th in the NJ state rankings but from the start, SJR made it known they were ready to play. The Green Knights led the game 25-20 at the half and added to their lead in the 3rd behind big three pointers from Alex Mazzella and Tom Diomedi. Up 43-35 at the end of 3 quarters SJR put the game away late, behind key free throws from Chaz Gray and Taylor Vero.

Senior Anthony Pacciarelli led all scorers with 14 points while Mazzella had 11 points, 9 coming in the second half.

With the win, the Green Knights improve to 8-5 on the season. SJR will host Paramus H.S. on Thursday January 24th, at Michael J. Doherty Court at SJR.
