Thursday afternoon, the SJR Hockey team defeated St. Augustine in the quarterfinal round of the Non-Public Tournament at Hollydell Ice Arena in Sewell. This marked the Green Knight's first time playing the Hermits this season, who are ranked as the fourth seed. SJR shutout the Hermits 3-0 behind a dominant defensive performance. 

The teams played two scoreless periods until the Green Knights finally broke through in the 3rd period. Logan Hughes scored 2 goals in the period and Shane Tobin added an additional goal as the Green Knights cruised to victory 3-0.

Junior goaltender Gabe Florio continued his spectacular play in net. Florio stopped all 15 shots he faced for his 6th shutout of the season. In six tournament games this season, Florio has an astounding five shutouts.

Riding a three game winning streak, the Green Knights will now move on to the semi finals to play against Delbarton, the number 1 seed, on March 3 at Mennen Arena in Morris Township.
