The SJR golf team continued it's dominance on Friday winning the Big North Conference Championship by an astounding 28 strokes.
As a team, SJR set a new Big North Conference record with a 10-under par 278 total. The score was 28 strokes ahead of runner up Bergen Catholic (306).
Freshman Rory Asselta also had a record setting day winning the individual tournament with a score of 7-under par 65. This marks a new Big North Conference record and was 2 strokes better than Harry Cohen (67) of Ramapo. SJR junior
Michael Asselta finished 3rd with a 3-under par 69 and freshman Justin Peck was 7th with a 1-over par 73.
This marks the 6th tournament win for the Green Knights who will now get ready for their Division Day matches on Monday and the NJSIAA State Sectionals on Tuesday.
