St. Joseph Regional High School is proud to announce the appointment of Patrick Kivlehan as its new Athletic Director, effective July 1, 2025.

A standout in both academics and athletics, Kivlehan brings to the role a wealth of experience as a professional athlete, a leader, and a faith-based man of character. A 2008 graduate of St. Joseph Regional, Pat was a multi-sport star during his time as a Green Knight, excelling on the football field and baseball diamond. His drive and discipline earned him a scholarship to Rutgers University, where he played both football and baseball, ultimately being named Big East Player of the Year in baseball after just one season.

Kivlehan went on to play professional baseball for over a decade, including time in Major League Baseball with the Cincinnati Reds, San Diego Padres, and Arizona Diamondbacks. In addition, Pat was fortunate enough to compete on the US baseball team in the 2020 Olympic Games in Japan.

Throughout his career, Pat was known not just for his athleticism, but for his leadership and commitment to excellence. These qualities perfectly align with the mission and values of St. Joe's. Pat currently serves on the Board of Directors for USA Baseball as USOPC Athlete Representative.

"We are thrilled to announce Patrick Kivlehan as our new athletic director," said Reginald Sainte Rose, President of St. Joseph Regional. "Pat's roots run deep at SJR, and his experience as a high-level athlete, combined with his passion for mentorship and development, make him the ideal person to lead our athletic department into the future. He understands the unique role sports play in forming young men of character, resilience, and faith."

As Athletic Director, Kivlehan will oversee all of SJR's athletic programs, support coaches and student-athletes, and build on the school's storied tradition of athletic excellence. His leadership will be instrumental in shaping not only competitive teams, but also principled young men ready to succeed beyond the playing field.

"I am honored to begin this year in this new capacity," said Kivlehan. "This community has shaped so much of who I am. I look forward to giving back, supporting our students, and building an athletic program that reflects the strength, pride, and brotherhood of St. Joe's."
