Bright Future Awaits SJR Class of 2026 Athletes

The SJR Class of 2026 has had a bounty of riches when it comes to Green Knights Athletics, and now dozens of students will continue their athletic careers at the college level.

St. Joseph Regional's graduating class has experienced tons of success during it's four years in Montvale. As 9th graders, this group captured the County Freshman Basketball title and Baseball title, while compiling a 8-1 record on the freshman football field. Multiple freshmen also played a role on the 2023 State Championship Wrestling team.

Since moving on the the varsity levels, this group has won a State Football title, two State Golf championships, an additional State Wrestling championship as well as county titles in ice hockey, baseball and golf.

Individually the Class of 2026 consists of multiple First Team All State athletes in Cristian Alvarez (Wrestling, Football), Michael Asselta (Golf) and Nathan Bailey (Football).

In all 38 Green Knights athletes will be continue their careers at the college level. This accounts for more than 35% of the entire graduating class.
