After going 5-0 the SJR Soccer boys had been battling through a rough patch of late, losing multiple close games. Coach Konrad Madej analyzed the games and made some adjustments. Since those changes, the Green Knights put together 5-2 win over Wayne Hills and a 3-0 win over Pascack Hills to get back on their feet.
Friday September 25th the team took on Wayne Hills at home. In the first half freshman Philip Yoo opened the scoring with 2 early goals. Going into the second half the Green Knights were up 2-1 and knew they had to add to that lead. Sophomore Emilio Galindo scored first followed by freshmen Freddy Del Toro and sophomore Gert Deitmer as the Green Knights pulled away to a 5-2 victory.
Monday September 28th the boys took on Pascack Hills at home. Again the SJR scored early with a goal from sophomore Emmanuel Gavela followed by sophomore Noah Moreno. Up 2-0 in the first half the the Green Knights were confident going coming out of the halftime break. The Green Knights kept knocking on the door but were only able to score one from freshmen Philip Yoo, but it proved to be enough as SJR finished off a 3-0 shutout.
